Hello Everyone,
My name is Jennifer, but I prefer to go by Jen. I am an online student at Kaplan University, studying to get my Associates in Health Sciences. My plan is to take this degree and transfer my credits to the ground campus here where I live, and further my education onto an RN degree. My mother has been a nurse for over 25 years and I have always found her profession to be facinating. I love to help people and have always wanted to further myself in a career that I could be passionate about. Being a nurse could be just that. As of right now I work at the local hospital as a HCA (healthcare assistant), and am able to interact and work with the nursing team. I love my job and truly feel that this is where I am supposed to be within my life. I look forward to all that I am going to achieve and all the new interactions with patients and staff members within my future.
Having a positive mind and surrounding yourself with positive atmosphere is everything to me. I find that when negative becomes involved within my life I become overwhelmed by it. Its as if it tries to swallow you whole. I hate this and everything about it. More then anything it is better to look at what is going good in the world, in your life, and whats good within yourself. If negative is what you seek and look for then it will find you and take over. Do not allow this to happen. Look to God and what is called the "light within you". It is there. Sometimes this is hard to find, but do not loose hope, you will find it, and things do work out for what it is meant to. Remember this.
